Job Summary:
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions for the Avi Resort & Casino. This includes directing all IT operations to meet the needs of the administrative and operational systems of the casino; as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions. This position provides leadership to the Information Technology Services Department; and is responsible for all aspects of information technology management and control, including supervision of information technology Team Members; budget preparation and management; recommendations for technical acquisitions; ensuring compliance with regulations; and development of guidelines, standards and procedures. This position works closely with peers within the organization as well as business partners to deliver quality, value-driven solutions.

This is an executive level position responsible for planning, directing, and implementing overall activities for the Information Technologies staff and systems. Develops and implements procedures, budget, goals and objectives for the IT Department. Responsibilities also include staff planning and JD, Director of Information Technology projection; job design; interviewing; hiring and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performances; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides leadership, vision, and management to all departments of the casino as regards Information Technology. Supervises the ongoing operations of the casino IT helpdesk providing quality and timely support to casino Team Members concerning hardware and software needs. To perform this position successfully, an individual must have Bachelor’s a degree in computer science, MIS or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and eight (8) years of progressive experience within information technology with experience in the most current technologies and products used in in the hotel and casino industry with at least 3 years a supervisory capacity in hotel and casino operations. Must be 21 year of age or older and have the ability to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.
