Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the repair and service of kitchen equipment throughout the facility. Work assignments will require intensive and diversified engineering principles and practices and requires the ability to read schematics. Assignments will include kitchen facilities repair, service, maintenance and monitoring of proper kitchen equipment operations. Position allows development of professional capabilities through applications of complex techniques, procedures, and criteria in performing sequences of related engineering tasks. The person in this position must exercise judgment on details of work and in making final selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives on specific projects. To perform this position successfully, an individual must have a High School Diploma or equivalent required and minimum three (3) years’ experience as an engineering services technician required. Facilities experience preferred. An additional three (3) years’ experience concentrated in a service related technology position may be considered in lieu of licensure/certification. Ability to multitask on several projects at the same time and basic knowledge all facets of facility engineering field, to include but not limited to Kitchen Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Life Safety Systems, Elevators, and Electronics.
