Spirit Mountain Casino to temporarily suspend gaming operations
Mohave Valley, AZ, June 29, 2020--Spirit Mountain Casino will temporarily suspend gaming operations effective at 12:00 a.m., June 30, 2020 for a period of one week. The casino will reopen at 10:00 a.m., July 6, 2020. At that time, all previous precautionary measures will still be in effect and masks will be required throughout the casino.
Spirit Mountain Casino reopened in June with the health and safety of guests and employees our top priority. The casino implemented robust safety measures to prevent guest and employee exposure to COVID-19, including deep cleaning the property, extensive employee training, usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the facility, health checks and regular employee testing. By taking these precautions, Spirit Mountain Casino is happy to report no cases of COVID-19 have occurred at the property.
With the wellbeing of guests and employees of utmost importance, the suspension of operations will allow Spirit Mountain Casino to have a private company deep clean and sanitize the property and will allow us to assess ways to improve our ventilation system. In addition, this time will enable the casino to evaluate the recent rise in cases in Arizona and Nevada and to return to operations with protocols in place to best protect workers and everyone who visits the property.
Throughout the suspension of operations, we will continue to monitor updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Arizona Department of Health Services, and will update our safety protocols and procedures as necessary.
