Payroll Clerk compiles and processed all required information to perform the bi-weekly payroll process and respective tax filings. This may also include miscellaneous deductions. Essential and duties responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required. Verify departmental sign-in sheets to the clock times from the Time and Attendance System, produce daily payroll figures by department for use in accounting reports, balance bi-weekly payroll figures, including tax and miscellaneous deductions, and continual update of payroll system for new hires, terminations, and employee changes. Maintain records pertaining to vacation days and floater used and unused. Complete any additional tasks requested by the Paymaster and Director of Finance. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be 21 years of age or older, knowledge of 10-key by touch, prior payroll department experience with knowledge of payroll tax and miscellaneous deductions preferred.
